To
define when the present "THE OZ SONS" had been formed
up, it would be better to divide their history into three eras.
As matter of fact the proto-group of THE OZ SONS was formed up in
#6 era. Therefore era earlier than that should be called B.O. i.e.
Before Ozsons, and one after that should be A.O. i.e. Anno Ozsons.
The Group #6 once called themselves "OZ Sounds" which
is simple parody of "Ojisan Chorus", however, the group
soon went out of formation as Shiro Nishio quitted the group as
he was obliged to concentrate on his own works as businessman in
his company. Nonetheless remaining three guys managed to sustain
the group till group #7 formed. |
In
fact the name "THE OZ SONS" was made public corresponding
to group #7's appearance to the Three Graces Concert held on November
16th, 1999 in Tokyo. Since then they became virtually the chorus
group which has genuine name "THE OZ SONS". |
For
those 10 years 8 guys has got in and out as member of group by turn.
The
quartette in TTBB formation was resumed in April 2001 when the bass-man
Shigeo Kurimoto returned from his overseas business assignment after
his four years absence from the group. Actually he is the first
and only one hired by "THE OZ SONS" though he was a member
of the group when it has no name. There might be some Ojisans who
do not feel they were one of the members of THE OZ SONS but
we would like to be allowed to mention their names here as members
used to be during the group was a baby in cradle. |
